Parks & Recreation

Neville Township owns and maintains three public parks that are open to residents and visitors:

Memorial Park

Location:  Corner of Grand and Phillips Avenues

Amenities:  Playground Equipment, Picnic Shelters, Softball Fields, Comfort Station

Features:  Neville Island War Memorial and Roll Call of Armed Forces war veterans; Memorial brick walkway, Neville Green memorial trees.

Cottage Park

Location:  Corner of Grand and Cottage Avenues

Amenities:  Playground Equipment, Sports Court, Picnic Shelter, Comfort Station, grass field and walkway.

Mayernik Park

Location:  Corner of Grand Avenue and Third Street

Features:  Gazebo and water feature.

Park Hours:  Dawn to Dusk.


Park Rules:

Dogs and Bicycles are not permitted in Neville Township parks.


Park Rentals:

Pavilion Rentals:  Memorial and Cottage Park pavilions are available to rent for parties, family reunions, company picnics and other events.

Fees:   Resident Daily Rental – $50.00

            Non-resident Daily Rental – $100.00

            All renters must place a $125.00 damage deposit to be returned following event.

Field Rentals:  If your organization is interested in utilizing the Memorial Park softball field or Cottage Park field, please call the Township at 412-264-1977 for more information.


Other Island Recreation Amenities:

Robert Morris University Sport Center – College, youth and league hockey, public ice skating, indoor golf.

Neville Roller Drome – Old fashioned family roller skating rink.

Paradise Island Bowling Lanes & Beach Club

Bike Lanes – Allegheny County maintains dedicated and “Share the Road” bicycle lanes on Grand Avenue.
